New Music Site Lala.com

New Music Site Lala.com

Our music prayers have been answered!  Thanks to a couple of geniuses, we don’t have to be sad as much about the departure of imeem.  The once domineering music playlist site has been gamed, set and matched by a wonderful website called Lala.com.
What is Lala.com you may ask?  Only the coolest thing around since polar glaciers (corny I know).  But the point is, there is now a website where you can play all your favorite songs from for free and make playlist out of them.  The service is extremely easy to sign-up for so you’ll be listening to music in your dorm room or house in seconds.  Name, Email, Password and you’re done.
The website has tracks available for purchase that are cheaper (10 cents) than iTunes.  How, you may ask? Because these people are geniuses that know what consumers want…their music!  Establishing great licensing deals with the major record labels upfront was a plus, in addition to having a great online payment system.  The songs actually never leave the web so everyone wins, you the music listener, the record companies because the songs can’t be pirated, and Lala.com because they make their small profit from you getting the music you love.
One of the best features of the site is the music player at the very top of the website.  It allows you to control the music settings, buy tracks, add songs to your playlist and search for addition songs.  Why is that so special?  Because while you’re searching for other music and clicking on things, the current song you are playing will not be disrupted from you browsing the website.
Another feature of the website is its ability to allow you to upload your iTunes library right onto your account…Wow!  Like its former predecessor imeem, you can create playlist, see what the top playlist on the site are, the top listens, rankings for albums and songs, and many other cool features that give you that much more of a music experience.  So if you don’t want to go to myspace.com who bought imeem.com, then check out Lala.com.
We will warn you though, Apple just bought them so that could either mean iTunes features will be incorporated and make the experience that much better, or corporate America could kill online music.
